With a creative brief to explore ’science’ in the newly designed school of sciences by Clarke Hopkins Clarke Architects, we took a collaborative approach with all stakeholders. The result is a fully integrated display that builds upon the foundations laid by the architects.
With the architects key objectives for the learning space in mind, we examined how science plays its part in our society. We looked at the contrasts between big and small, the overlapping of ideas, observation of the microscopic, and dissected the big picture to create a multi-faceted display. Our solution has enough flexibility to be applied in small and large scale, creates privacy when needed, or is applied simply to improve the visibility of glazing.
